AREA OF PRACTICE : Labor and Employment Counseling and Litigation |

The Firm assists clients in the development of employee handbooks, as well as personnel policies and procedures designed to increase compliance and prevent litigation. The Firm also structures and provides seminars to clients and training to management personnel regarding employment related topics, including proper documentation, hiring practices, disciplinary actions, wage and hour laws, employment termination, sexual harassment and employment discrimination, amongst others. The Firm also actively participates in seminars and training sessions for clients and business community groups.
The Labor and Employment practice group represents employers in state and federal courts, and administrative forums, in all aspects of employment law, including, wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, sexual harassment and disability claims, as well as wage and hour, workmen’s compensation, retaliation, constitutional rights, and defamation claims.
The Firm also represents and defends clients in EEOC charges at the state and federal levels before agencies and in courts; proactive review of personnel policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable employment statutes and prevent or minimize claims; provide advice and representation in labor arbitration matters, including strategy development, case presentation, and legal briefing.
